Dr. R. S. Porter is a Huntsville native who moved to Seattle after high school. While living and working in the Seattle area, he personally experienced the benefits of upper cervical chiropractic care. After years of chronic allergies, headaches, acid reflux, and developing fatigue, his symptoms resolved with chiropractic care.
The change was significant enough that he decided to go back to school and do the same for others. He studied exercise science and went on to complete clinical training, including studies at Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic, a program known for its focus on principled, specific chiropractic care.
Today, Dr. Porter focuses on upper cervical chiropractic, the gentle, precise care of the atlas and axis at the top of the neck, using Blair and Toggle Recoil techniques, alongside full-spine adjusting. He is Webster Technique certified through the ICPA for prenatal care, and brings NASM credentials in corrective exercise and sports performance to his work with athletes and active patients.
